Sneak peek: Importing and exporting navigations

You can now paste space-indented navigation structures into Naview as mentioned in the previous update. We have enhanced this further and you can now copy and paste an existing menu structure from Firefox and Naview will work out the hierarchy automatically! This works in most cases when the source menu is authored as an unordered nested list in structurally correct HTML.

We would also like to show you a sneak peek of something that will be available on a paid plan later on: exporting navigations in OmniOutliner 3 XML format. With this, you can design and test your navigation structure in Naview, export it directly into OmniGraffle as a sitemap diagram and very quickly finalise that into a professional client deliverable.

Here’s a quick demonstration of how you can import and export navigations using Naview:

Ps. If you are using OmniGraffle to design sitemaps also have a look at Fuzzy Math’s article “Omnigraffle Sitemap Generator from Sitemap.xml.”
